Clean and well-maintained tourist destinations reflect the pride, culture and environmental responsibility of a community while ensuring a safe and memorable experience for visitors.
With the generous support of the Tourism Finance Corporation of India (TFCI), Ruchika undertook cleanliness and environmental conservation initiatives at Dhauli Peace Pagoda, Khandagiri and Puri Sea Beach.
To encourage lasting behavioural change, awareness signboards promoting responsible waste disposal and cleanliness were installed at Dhauli, inspiring visitors to protect these treasured heritage sites.
The initiative also featured plastic garden exhibitions at Dhauli and Khandagiri, creatively demonstrating the harmful impact of plastic waste and encouraging communities to embrace sustainable practices.
Together, these efforts are fostering cleaner public spaces, protecting Odisha's rich heritage and inspiring citizens to become active custodians of the environment.
By caring for our heritage, we are building a cleaner, more conscious community—one that respects nature, celebrates culture, and protects the beauty of Odisha for generations to come.
The Cleaning of Tourist Places initiative is more than just a cleanup drive—it is a movement to reconnect communities with their heritage. By combining hands-on action with creative awareness campaigns, Ruchika and TFCI are proving that environmental responsibility is a shared journey.
Every piece of waste collected and every signboard installed is a step toward a cleaner Odisha, a healthier environment, and a brighter future for our cherished tourist destinations.
